Homework

The media is neutral/unbiased I dissagree with this statement about the media.  I think this as the media will quite often need either money or reaches, with this you need a majority of people which you will not get if you are neutral, people need to think "oh they share my view."  For example if there is a large opinion circulating a news article is more likely than not to try and cover it as it brings the writer/publisher attention and that gives them good publicity, this opinion will more than not be biassed.  Not only this but in something like film people would be more likely to work with you if they know your view and can support it, like you wouldn't want to place your product in a film made by people who you don't agree with or support.

Media Language Analysis

Image
L/O: to analyse a media text using Media language   22-9-20 Medium long shot The medium long shot has been chosen and used on this poster. This shot allows a show of key parts of the poster such as his gun which you would not be able to see as well if it was a long shot. Not only this but it connotes  that the movie is a spy film most likely with action. If a medium shot was used it would take away the benefit of having a shadow in the back, which shows normally secrets and unrevealed parts of the character. This entices people to watch the movie as not only is it action a popular genre it makes you want to know more. Mise-en-scene In this poster Bond's clothing is different from most other Bond films as he is not in a suit, this time he is in rich looking clothes to connote possible more grittiness with a tight underlay, this underlay connotes he as a character is physically fit. Bond also has a gun, the gun is a sign of him most likely fighting someone ,  a...

What is Media?

10.9.20 L/o  to define what media is and how it impacts upon our live Definition: "The main means of mass communication" Media  Newspapers films  TV Music Social Media Books Games Adverts  Podcasts Apps Smartphones The purpose of Media is to communicate, to show people something like a film or advertisement. It spreads a message. Media is to entertain and inform but most of all it is to make money. Media Influence To me media influence happens I do believe half the things on the news as long as they sound reasonable but on another side of it with say a large streamer or youtube I watch promotes something I am probably going to trust that product. The media influence is strong as people trust people with a large following and believe that they can usually be trusted, I also normally think this. I think the best recent show of powerful media was BLM after George Floyd's death which gathered many numbers in a movement.
