In the Joker the sim starts with introducing the Joker and showing him working whilst also suffering from mental problems. Further in the film Jokers therapist has shutdown and he starts hallucinating he's on a late night show. In the end of the film the Joker begins riots after killing the host of the show.
The most important events to happen are the psychological issues in the Jokers mind making him essentially delusional and how he began killing people afterwards.
If certain events of the story happened in a different order the story would have less of a thrill than it did. You would find out some of whats happening is just Jokers mental state hallucinating taking away from the psychological aspect.
It is seen throughout the film that it takes place in Gotham.
The length of the film was 2 hours and 2 minutes but it spanned over multiple time in real time.
Before the story began I would expect it to have just been Joker with his mental issues and work similar to the start of the film.
After the end of the story it is likely that Joker would lead on to become "The Joker."
The story is unique in a lot of ways but it reminds me of the traditional hero story but it in a warped way where it's an antagonist who grows into this renowned seen person of illegal doings.
I would like the story to continue from where it left seeing Joker continue to wreak the havoc he did but also keep the psychological aspect.

Has a Linear narrative.

The Equilibrium - Joker is living with his mother going to a therapist and working part time jobs.

Disruption - Joker loses his job and his mental health help stops leading him to begin thinking things which never happened are happening.

Recognition - He begins to hallucinate him on a TV comedy show and also starts trying to get in contact with who he thinks is his dad.

Attempt to repair disruption - Joker begins a comedy gig and gets himself invited on the show he watches but the host in reality just wants to mock him. He ends up shooting the host and riots begin in the world.

New Equilibrium - Joker is in riots and is arrested afterwards.
